Jeanne White Eagle’s book, Grace, is an exploration of the questions, “How is the horror of betrayal from those one has so deeply trusted, even possible? And how then, do relationships (friends, relatives, countries) so split apart, heal?”
These questions are awakened on a trip Jeanne and her husband John Pehrson take to Bosnia in 2007. She encounters the victims of the war and their stories first hand.
Not long after her time in Bosnia, haunted by questions brought on by what she had seen and heard, Jeanne herself goes through an encounter of personal betrayal of devastating proportions. In her journey to heal she wrestles with confusion, suppressed emotions of anger and feelings of depression, including the constant struggle of self examination. She soon comes to realize that her own experience carries the answers she has been searching for to the questions born in Bosnia.
You might read Grace as a night voyage of the soul, a journey from light into darkness and back into light.

Grace offers a memorable example of how the Universe answers prayer while also revealing the dangers of getting stuck in form. A great read as well as a
valuable book for anyone on the spiritual journey.

Grace a Journey from Betrayal to Healing edition by Jeanne White Eagle Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
Grace is a story with lessons for everyone who has ever been hurt or felt betrayed at some time in their lives. And who hasn't? The author shares her personal experience both as a witness to the emotional scars in others as well as her own, and her process of forgiveness. Compelling and inspiring.
How do we forgive and why should we forgive? Should the sister of a young college age student tortured to death by his former wrestling coach and friend just because he was a Muslim forgive such a monstrous betrayal. How can such a seemingly beyond human act of forgiveness even be possible? What if we don't forgive and instead hold on to anger and thoughts of getting even? These were the questions that haunted Jeanne White Eagle Pehrson until G-d's Grace intervened by giving her, and us through this book, at least some understanding of what is perhaps The Existential Question. "Grace" can heal your life if you allow it.
Grace is a book for anyone who has experienced betrayal in their life. It is not only well-written and a quick read, but gives the reader hope that there is a path to forgiveness, healing and the release of hurts and resentments. Jeanne White Eagle's story is both captivating and instructive. It takes us from a desire to understand how friends and neighbors in Bosnia could become enemies overnight, to her own personal experience of deep betrayal, and through her own struggles to allow love to guide her, heal her and, ultimately, open her up to the power of grace. Jeanne's journey is the journey that many of us take, and her own healing journey empowers us to make a similar passage to our own healing.
Jeanne White Eagle's "Grace A Journey from Betrayal to Healing" is an announcement that the deep modern cultural taboo against self healing can be bridged. We have the ability to heal ourselves from emotional trauma, but in the process we need to seek divine grace through love. The offered grace may be different from what we expect. "Grace" is an extraordinary personal description of difficulties encountered in the search for grace.
Jeanne's emotional trauma was associated with a work she had accepted as relating to her spiritual destiny. This work had taken her to Bosnia, and to lead sacred dances which are a way for people to come to know their spiritual destiny. Jeanne's choice to do this work was aided by a Native American seer who taught the Way of Inspiration. The Way of Inspiration is based on the ancient wisdom of indigenous peoples. This wisdom is a requisite for the emergence of a `new earth' as prophesied by the Mayan calendar. "Grace" is an exceptional guide for those who want to step toward self healing from abuse, trauma or simply to better know oneself to be in accordance with creating a new earth

Jeanne White Eagle's book, Grace A Journey from Betrayal to Healing, is a deep reminder that not only is love the answer but that true healing takes time. I read the book cover to cover in one sitting, moved by her unfolding story. I was moved by her courage to keep coming back to the question of what was needed in order to truly be liberated from the trauma of betrayal. With profound love and a belief in redemption, she faithfully met each layer as it surfaced. I am reminded that we cannot prematurely transcend and that deep healing is possible if we are faithful to the journey. I am also moved that we cannot compare one trauma to another and that each trauma has its own journey to recovery.
GRACE A JOURNEY FROM BETRAYAL TO HEALING by Jeanne WhiteEagle
I have had the honor of knowing and working alongside Jeanne WhiteEagle for many years. I appreciate her integrity as she struggles with many of the issues that trouble people. By asking the question during a trip to Bosnia " How could betrayal occur, where neighbors and friends become enemies even to the point of torture and death?" Jeanne set into motion a series of experiences where on a smaller and less physically violent level, she played out the answers in her own life. When betrayal occurs, it seems to shake the very foundations of who we are and how we view the world. As a visionary and spiritual leader for many years, Jeanne along with her husband, John, has a strong spiritual foundation of belief. As this book progresses you see how, this very personal betrayal eats at her soul as she tries over and over to use prayer, mediation, and techniques of forgiveness to understand. The release comes in a moment after several months inner struggle, a moment she labels Grace. And in finding it for herself, she opens in the heart of the reader for the blessings of Grace to arise as well.
It was okay. I lot of repeating about a previous situation. I expected to read more about her adventures in Europe. She constantly returned to the time she felt everyone attacked her. I could not see why she did not just approach it and move on.
Jeanne's commitment to walking her talk and seeking truth about the human experience has given her a deeply felt experience to understand how Love pushes us in unusual ways to manifest itself. Her honest, soulful story describes her step by step journey to healing by Grace through prayer, meditation and questioning. The way to a peaceful and loving heart is a test of courage, fearlessness and commitment.
